Jenny Woods gathers information from movie hopefuls

BC's Bar was the place to be last weekend for those aspiring to be in the movie "After the Storm". Over 220 persons, sometimes making lines all the way to the beach, signed up for a chance to be a "star" in the upcoming filming of the movie. A team consisting of Mr. Charles Woods, Casting Assistant, Mrs. Melanie Greif, Casting Assistant Director, along with helpers Jenny Woods, Flora Ancona, Trish Carter and Manuel Ancona Jr., were on hand to take snap shots and personal information of those interested.

Mr. Charles Woods told the San Pedro Sun the next step is to take the pictures back to the producer, who will make the final decision of selecting the 51 extras. This, he says, will happen the week of March 20th - 24th. The selected persons will then be on their way to being cast as part of the anticipated movie to be filmed in its entirety in Belize. Filming in Placencia has commenced and the crew will then move to San Pedro where filming is expected to last three weeks. Adding to the excitement was the presence of movie star Armand Assante who will be playing a key role in the movie. Mr. Assante was seen in various places on the island and those who were fortunate to meet him say that he is a genuinely pleasant person and cannot wait to see him when he returns to San Pedro for the filming.
