Ministry of Transport - April
1st, 2003
- The Ministry of Transport announces the appointment of
members of the Ambergris Caye Traffic Control Committee. This Committee
will advise the minister on matters pertaining to traffic on the island.
These members are: Milo Paz Jr., Chairman; Councilor Merlene "Mel" Spain,
Secretary; and members, Mayoress Elsa Paz, Abel Guerrero Jr., Gerardo
Reyes, Phillip Brackett, Chief Transport Officer or his representative,
and Alberto Nuñez Sr.
The Ministry of Transport announces the appointment of
a new Transport Board. The Board will advise the minister on all matters
pertaining to public transportation. The members of the board are: Mr.
Carlos Santos, Chairman; Mr. Cadet Henderson, Deputy Chairman, Chief
Engineer or his representative; Mr. Carmen Zetina, Commissioner of Police
or his representative; Mr. Phillip Brackett, Chief Transport Officer or
his representative, Secretary; Mr. Froylan Gilharry O.B.E.,
Representative of Public Transport Providers, and members, Mr. Luis Teck,
and Mr. Albert E. Bouloy (Tourism Sector Representative).
These appointments are effective April
1 st, 2003.
