Police Constable Popper is originally from Dangriga Town and was inducted into the police force on July 3^rd, 2002. His first assignment was the Caribbean Shores Substation in Belize City, where he remained for the next five months. Then, on January 6^th, 2003 PC Popper was transferred to the San Pedro Police Station where he carries out his duties as a uniform police officer.

     When interviewed by The San Pedro Sun about his feelings on being chosen, PC Popper stated "I feel very good, excited, confident and happy about myself, for being chosen the police officer of the month. I want to thank the members of this detachment and the community for their support and I encourage the people of San Pedro to keep on giving the police their full support in helping to reduce crime in the community."

     As SP Police Officer of the Month, PC Popper received $525, a picture frame, a $75 gift certificate from Casa Picasso and a clay plaque.

     An Officer of the Month is chosen as a way of showing community support for our local police officers (men and women), who do their best to make San Pedro a better place to live. These efforts include making arrests, solving crimes and risking their own lives.
