Senator Barry Bowen told The San Pedro Sun that he has resigned from the Senate. “I just did,” Bowen said, without elaborating more on his reasons for his decision.
Procedure calls that Bowen submit an official letter of resignation to the Clerk of the National Assembly, which, at press time, had not yet occurred.
A Channel 7 newscast last week quoted PUP Public Relations Officer Yasser Musa, who said, “Bowen feels it necessary to launch a rather involved public relations battle and wished not to sully the good name of the Honorable House in what may prove to be a somewhat messy battle on the ground.”
