With less than a month before the 2005 International Costa Maya Festival officially kicks off, more exciting news has been released by the committee. Everything is falling slowly and smoothly into place, increasing the anticipation of this year’s festivities. This week, the committee has confirmed the participation of Aida Estrada, Miss Guatemala, for the Costa Maya Pageant. She was a delegate for this year’s Miss Universe Pageant.
Aida is a gorgeous 19-year-old who is six feet tall. Aida is a very outgoing person, and shares her friendship and kindness with the people she encounters. Aida hopes to complete her studies and become a fashion designer. Among her many loves is giving back to the community. This Guatemala City born beauty loves dancing and the most unusual job she has had was modeling as a mannequin. With her in the mix, Aida now joins candidates from Costa Rica – Johanna Fernandez, Honduras – Kimberly McNab, El Salvador – Irma Dimas, Nicaragua – Anasha Campbell and Belize – Andrea Elrington. Still no word has been heard from the Mexico representative, but the committee is sure to get word soon.
Apart from that report, there has also been a change in the proposed hosts. Unfortunately, Sebastian Rulli will not be able to stand on stage next to Lilian Villanueva. Because of conflicts with filming scheduled for the soap opera “Contra Viento y Marea,” Sebastian has sadly declined the proposal. Now, a new star will host the pageant, and it is none other than Arath De La Torre. The handsome Arath is well-known for starring in soap operas like “Alegrijes y Rebujos” playing the part of Matías. In 2003, he was the voice for the cartoon “Magos y Gigantes” playing the part of Titán Caradura. If he still does not ring a bell or come across as someone you know, he is currently playing Roberto de la O in the hit Telenovela “Amigas y Rivales;” which is airing on Channel 13 – Univision – at 11:00 p.m. Fans can watch the stunning sight of Arath on the hit adult comedy, alongside Angelica Vale in “La Parodia.”
The handsome 30 year old is still making headlines as one of the best looking hunks on TV. He was born in Cancun, Mexico, is single and hopes to better himself in all aspects. For the ladies, he is a romantic fellow and says he is capable of sweeping a woman off her feet. Curious as to what he looks for in a woman? Well, here’s the scope, the first thing he looks for is beautiful eyes and a major turnoff for him is girls that are vulgar, he believes women should always be kind, caring and ladylike.
