Police investigation into the murder of security guard Antonio Almendarez has led to the additional arrests of two more individuals. Last week Wednesday, August 17th, 20-year-old Shondoy Jeffords of a Freedom Street address in Belize City and 18-year-old Austin Mungia of the Boca del Rio Area in San Pedro Town, were jointly arrested and charged for the crimes of murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Jeffords and Mungia join 22-year-old Luis Lalin and 18-year-old Elvis Williams who were previously charged in connection with the same incident and for the same crimes.
On the night of July 26th, Fido’s Bar and Restaurant was robbed and during the course of the crime Almendarez was tied up and gagged. He was found dead the next morning and a post-mortem conducted on his body determined that he died of asphyxia.
