San Pedro Dance Company Dancers entertained the crowd with a variety of dances for their "Noche De Paz" presentation on Friday, December 23.
 


On Wednesday, December 21st, the spirit of Christmas was in high gear as the People’s United Party (PUP) San Pedro Executive Committee held a gift giving, and joy sharing day with the local children of San Pedro Town.
 


On Thursday, the San Pedro Town Council also helped spread Christmas cheer early, with Santa giving out presents for youngsters at the Central Park.
 


Winners of the Grand Prize (a 2006 Precedent Golf Cart) at Castillo's Hardware were ARJ Designs & Construction Ltd.

With Christmas come and gone all one can do is reminisce about the great times and enjoying the wonderful gifts received. However, pictures always take us back in time and showcase the grand hours gone by. Gifts were handed out, dances were performed and raffles were drawn. Allow The San Pedro Sun to show you some of the highlights during Christmas week.

   On December 21st, the spirit of Christmas was in high gear as the People’s United Party (PUP) San Pedro Executive Committee held a gift giving, and joy sharing day with the local children of San Pedro Town. The kids’ excitement reached high levels as Santa Claus arrived in the back of a truck. He took time to greet the children before sitting on his chair to give away fabulous gifts while the PUP Executive Committee handed out ideals, a cold refreshing treat on a gorgeous day.

   On Thursday, the San Pedro Town Council delighted a crowd of present hungry children with remarkable gifts. They received sodas and hugs from Santa Claus at the Central Park. Every child was joyous when receiving their toys and was happy to express their wishes for Christmas Day. All the children went home delighted at a great day spent with Santa.

   The San Pedro Lions Den held their annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas Dinner. Senior citizens were all treated to a scrumptious turkey dinner and gifts; a fantastic indulgence for the most important members of our community.

   December 23rd, marked the Noche de Paz, sponsored by the San Pedro Dance Company. It was a night of incredible dances, performed by all categories in the company. They performed to popular Christmas selections as well as songs heard over the radio and seen on TV. The girls impressed the crowd with remarkable moves. The crowd was not only awed with the dancing but also with the outstanding musical styling of Via Vocalite from Belize City. The group amazed everyone with their style and fantastic musical abilities.

   On Christmas Eve, the San Pedro Lions Club was at it again, spreading joy. The held a parade through the streets of San Pedro Town, with Rompe Raja behind a truck singing carols to all. Miss San Pedro Lety Lara was on hand to share red apples to those on the sidelines.

   Raffles were drawn as part of the Christmas festivities, businesses expressed their sincere appreciation to their customers with wonderful prizes. Castillo’s Hardware held their raffle on the 23rd. Alfonso Castillo took the time to express himself and commented, “We are very excited at Castillo’s to be able to make our customers happy. We really appreciate your patronage and we look forward to continue serving you in 2006, Lord willing.” Winners are as follows: 1st prize (2006 Precedent Golf Cart) – ARJ Designs and Construction Limited, 2nd prize (800 Watt Stereo Component) – Steve Stockdale and 3rd prize (Electric Stove) – Debbie Spain.

   Coral Cable Vision also held their annual raffle. Winners are as follows: 1st prize (one 32” color television set) – Esther Gomez, 2nd prize (One Smart! Motorola cell phone with camera) – Nancy Henkis, 3rd prize (One DVD Home Theater) – Dolores Uk, 4th prize (One ham and turkey plus a Christmas basket) – Romel Kotch, and 5th prize (3 months free cable service) – Paul Bunch. Winners for Caribeña Enterprises is as follow: 1st prize (110 gallons gasoline with 4 cases of Havoline 2-cycle oil) – Isela Graniel, 2nd prize (One 27” Panasonic color television set) – Amado Diaz, 3rd prize (One Sharp stereo sound system 450 watts) – Chito Guerrero, 4th prize (One Smart! cell phone with camera) – Severo Guerrero Sr., 5th prize ($400 cash) – J. Barrington.

   Congratulations to all the winners and a “big thumbs” up to all the organizers for once again coordinating a merry, bright and joyous Christmas!!!
