St. Francis Credit Union robbed!

Police have recovered the safe that was stolen from the Credit Union, and as of press time, it has not been opened.

On Thursday, December 28th, around 7:00 a.m., San Pedro police officers received a tip from an informant stating that some suspicious individuals were stealing what appeared to be a safe from the St. Francis Xavier Credit Union which is located in Laguna Drive in the San Juan Area in San Pedro Town. According to the police department, an initial investigation was carried out in the said area in the attempt to find the culprits. Upon doing so, they recovered the safe and the suspected culprits at an undisclosed address in a San Pablo address. Three individuals have been detained and await sentence at San Pedro Magistrate’s Court. In an interview with The San Pedro Sun Branch Manager, Elvis Canul, stated, “It was about 7:15 a.m. when I received a call from the police stating that the establishment was broken into.” The money in the safe is an estimated $50,000 but as of press time, the safe was not open and officers could not confirm whether the money was missing. Police investigation continues.
