SPPD’s New Officer-In-Charge is Humberto Pott

Effective the beginning of April, Assistant Superintendent Humberto Pott of the Belmopan Police Department will be San Pedro’s newest Officer in Charge. He will replace Inspector Juachim Sabal who was transferred to San Pedro on July 21st, 2005.

    Assistant Superintendent Pott began his police career in 1997 when he graduated from the Belize Police Academy. After graduation he was transferred to the Crimes Investigation Branch as an Officer Cadets in Belize City. He was later transferred to Cayo West and now 10 years later he is an Assistant Superintendent to become the Commander at the San Pedro Police Department.

    Assistant Superintendent Pott will visit San Pedro along with Commissioner of Police Gerald Westby on Tuesday, February 27th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lions Den where he will listen to the public’s concerns about the crime situation in Ambergris Caye.

    Assistant Superintendent Pott comes highly recommended by the Commissioner who states that he has his utmost confidence that Pott will do well for the island.

    Assistant Superintendent Pott is happily married and is a loving father of two children.
