Belize has garnered much international recognition, hosting many a film crews in its shores. This week, members of the Gala TeleVision Corporation were in Mother Nature’s Best Kept Secret filming a documentary. Having filmed the Prime Minister’s visit in Taiwan, the crew was cordially invited to visit the acclaimed country and enjoy its sights, sounds and smells.
Arriving in San Pedro, the nine member crew enjoyed the glorious island life. They went fishing, snorkeling and enjoyed the local cuisine all while catching it on film. But, while on the island how could they not enjoy the Pier Lounge’s Chicken Drop where host of the World’s #1, Morrison had the opportunity to shake the chicken and hope for the best. Even though he didn’t win the $100 jack pot, Mossimo commented that his entire stay on the island has been fantastic. “The cuisine especially, the ceviche and pupusas!” he exclaimed.
The crew being assisted by the Belize Tourism Board will air their documentary in Taiwan (it is also syndicated in the United States of America) in June or July. World’s #1 has a two million viewing audience and will feature scenes from Machaca Hill, San Miguel, Stann Creek, Hopkins, Hamanasi, Guilisi Museum, Marie Sharp Factory among many others.
