| Seniors gather at
Lion's Club for annual Christmas party
|
The San Pedro Lions Club held its annual dinner in honor of the
elderly of San Pedro as a way of showing respect and appreciation for them.
Approximately thirty five people attended the dinner party held on Thursday,
December 17th, 1998. The seniors were
entertained by the San Pedro High School Choir and Angela Badillo who serenaded
the gathering with a beautiful solo rendition. Members of the San Pedro R.C.
School also participated in this event. Barbara's School of Dancing added
some "salsa" to the evening performing three hot dance selections.
The attendees were treated to a turkey dinner courtesy of the Auxiliaries and
the San Pedro Lions Club. A fruit cake was also raffled and was won by Mrs.
Dalinda Salazar. Ramon Guerrero and his melodic organ serenaded the seniors
during dinner. A special selection was also played for Mrs. Tomasita and Mr.
Ernesto Gomez who were present in celebration of their 48th
wedding anniversary. The San Pedro Lions Club would like to thank all the
entertainers for making the evening a success and a special thank you to our
older citizens for their participation. The San Pedro Lions Club wishes everyone
a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
