Dr. Lenin Quintana Reyes
|
The San Pedro Lions Club has recently acquired the services of Dr. Lenin
Quintana Reyes to work at the Lions Clinic. This was possible with the
help of our Area Representative Hon. Patty Arceo who petitioned the
Government of Belize to have the doctor placed in San Pedro.
Dr. Quintana Reyes is a general practitioner with
eleven years experience. He was born in Santiago, Cuba and is the father
of two children.
Dr. Quintana Reyes arrived in the country of Belize on
September 17th, 1999,
as part of a team of Cuban doctors that were sent to this country as an
agreement between the two countries. He worked for one month at the Karl
Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City before being transferred to San
Pedro.
He arrived on the island on Friday, October
15 th, 1999, to meet
with the club's Board of Directors. The San Pedro
Sun caught up with Dr. Quintana Reyes that same day and
this is what he had to say, "The persons I've met are very friendly. I've
had a great impression of San Pedro since my arrival. I hope to continue
feeling this way." When asked about the conditions of the clinic, he
mentioned that the clinic has very good medications and suggested that
people drop by and inquire about them. He continued by saying that there
might be a few things needed but little by little all these minor details
can be resolved. He ended his conversation by saying, "I will do my best.
I will give all my heart and love in favor of the health of the people in
San Pedro. My services will be available unconditionally all the times
they are needed. I think we will do good."
The San Pedro Lions Clinic is open Monday-Friday from
8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m.
Welcome to San Pedro Dr. Reyes.
