R.C. school children perform during the
Christmas show
|
Children of the San Pedro Roman Catholic School held a public Christmas
recital last Wednesday to officially end the first semester of the school
year. The well-decorated stage, including the dramatic display of curtain
openings (very rare in San Pedro shows), attracted hundreds to view the
children's performances. All the classes, coached by their teachers, took
the stage with fun and creative renditions of Christmas songs,
skits and dances. Mistresses of Ceremonies, Teacher Rosario Guerrero and
Teacher Julia Martinez did a wonderful job presenting the students on
stage. Lots of snacks and drinks were on sale during the show.
On Thursday, it was the younger children of ABC
Pre-School who put on a great show at the Lions Den. Their recital was a
combination of nursery rhymes and Christmas recitals done by the three
and four-year-old cuties. Some of the crowds' favorite acts were "My
Shapes" and "The hat I got for Christmas is too big." The
well-choreographed performances left the teachers and parents very proud
of their children.
Friday evening the students of Lydia's Institute of
Fine Education (LIFE) took the stage at the grounds of LIFE. Individual
classes presented their very best, leaving the crowd in awe. Wonderful
choreography, Christmas outfits and fun presentations were all part of
this successful show. From the beginner's class to the Standard IV class
all the renditions served as the perfect ending of the school semester.
The traditional "Birth of Jesus" recreation was a most vivid portrayal in
the program. After the entertainment, the parents were invited to receive
their children's report card and each class enjoyed their individual
Christmas parties.
