Fifth Annual Belikin Spectacular Blue Water Fishing TournamentFor this year 1997 the venue has been changed from South Water Caye to Black Bird Caye on Turneffe Island. This location is one hour away from Belize City and we will be providing markers for all the channels to be able to go through the lagoon instead of going all the way around. lt is very exciting to know that we will be just a few minutes away from some of the favorite fishing spots. Blackbird Caye has accommodation provided by BlackBird Resort and there are also accommodation at Calabash Gaye which is just next door. On Turneffe Island there are also a number of other resorts that can help to provide accommodation. Ambergris Caye would be a delightful place to stay during the tournament. The briefing night will be held at Bellevue on Wed., Oct 8th, at the Bellevue Hotel at 7:30 p.m. Please make all effort to attend since all the rules will be discussed and all your questions could be answered and most importantly, your favorite beer will be served "BELIKIN". Remember that the Monday Oct 13th will be a holiday and even though there will be no fishing officially on that day Mr. Crump and Richard have suggested that a little "Calcutta" can be organized for that day's fishing for anyone that would like to participate. This be discussed at the briefing. For those that have not gotten all their rigs in place let me remind you that there are some nice lures at Hofius, Brodies, Anchor Marine, and Duke Marine.
