A Day Kayaking

Most people visiting San Pedro spend their time snorkeling or diving our beautiful Barrier Reef. They all but forget there is a whole other side to the island where wonderful adventure awaits. Spend the day or just a few hours with us exploring the amazing lagoon side.

On the first leg of the journey you will spend the morning kayaking through mangrove trees that stand on thick fingerlike roots that appear to walk on water.

These thickets of mangrove nurture tiny organisms and supply a feeding area for birds and fish.

Osprey, Kingfishers, Rosette spoonbills, Coremorants, Herons, and Egrets are just a few of the birds that you are bound to see.

The shallow, clear water will also give you a chance to see rays and tarpon as you glide through the mesmerizing lagoons. On occasion you may even encounter a "friendly" crocodile.

Once you have worked up a healthy appetite, you will kayak to our thatched roof palapa where a tropical feast will be waiting for you. As you enjoy your lunch of local dishes and fresh fruit juices you will be able to take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

Finally, as you glide your way back to San Pedro and your mind drifts over the beautiful sights of the day, you will realize that your adventure in the lagoon will be one of your most memorable of Belize.
