Red-Tipped Sea Goddess

The Red-Tipped Sea Goddess is a Nudibranch from the South Pacific. It has migrated through the Panama Canal (probably attached to a ship bottom or in a ballast tank)has found a home and is thriving in San Pedro's Barrier Reef. Photo taken yesterday Nov. 21 2007 by Charles Hargrove while on a dive with San Pedro Divemaster Juan Carlos.

That is really rare! All I have ever seen here are Lettuce Nudibrachs and they are so tiny they are hardly noticable. I urge you to not tell where the site is or I'm afraid it will be trounced.

Scubalady, There are a lot of them most in 50 to 40 ' range in front of Tres Cocos.
'trounced' , nah
The majority of divers are sensitive and environmentally aware.
Its a wonderful thing about the industry diver are trained from day one not to touch. I hardly ever worry about the divers doing damage, its the landlubbers we have to worry about.

We dove Tres Cocos today and did not see anything like this. I understand about the land sharks.
