Amanda, I would like to add my 2 pennies here. Americans are citizens. If they originated in Mexico, Honduras, China, anywhere else, but got their citizenship, they are indeed AMERICANS. If they are here simply to live off of the system, are not giving back to the society, are not making attempts to do good for the country, then, they are NOT americans.
I would hope the same would apply to any country that allows others to take up residence there. If they are truly interested in bettering themselves and giving back to the society that attracted them there, they should be given the chance to become a citizen. Once they are a citizen, they belong to that country.
I hope this doesn't start a "board riot" but we are all way too sensitive when it comes to descriptive names. We are all members of the human race, lets be proud of it.
