We did the day fishing trip - you will love it - try Tuff Enuf tours - the guys are great and have a very loose and flexible schedule, based on what you want to do.

We started out at 9:00 from Ramons and went to the Manatee Habitat - where we saw several - it's a nice experience, the boat is quiet and you just drift around - the crew was great.

Then we went to a sandy island - in the middle of the water, somewhere near the reef. We snorkeled around the reef and of course saw some of the most spectacular fish, rays, sharks you can imagine. While we were playing, our crew was spearfishing - yellow fin, red snapper, grouper, etc.

From there we went to another island, this one had three small houses on it, about 10 coconut trees, five dogs, a hammock and several chairs. People were great, friendly, happy, anxious to show their small island off. They BBQ'd our catch of the day and after a short time, we were eating, chicken, fish, tortillas, potatoes and of course Rum and Belikans for lunch.

From there we went to Caye Caulker - jumped off, went off onto the island, for shopping and exploring.

Leaving Caye Caulker went to Hol Chan - for sea snorkeling - it was rough and because it was later in the day, we were the only ones there - which is both exhilerating and frightening. Stayed there about an hour, seeing VERY LARGE FISH, baracuda, tarpons, small blue hole, caves, etc. It is unbelieveable - it was very difficult to try and stay afloat but when you go under, it's paradise.

Also, took a half day trip with Tuff Enuf to do reef fishing - again, great crew, very resourceful (that's another story) - and with the fish that was caught, took it to Ramon's that night and they prepared it for us - It was great -

There is so much -- the ruins sound great - we did visit Xunantunich on the mainland and Peach Cahal - sometimes there aren't adequate words to describe what you see and how it made you feel ...

Have fun
