We certainly feel for everyone in the area-wondering how the Inn at Roberts Grove came through? Our thoughts are with you.

Apparently there was some damage (water pouring through from the sea) but the hotel is livable and everyone is okay.

from Risa Frackman, owner with Hubby Bob, of the
Inn at Robert's Grove.

Thankfully, everyone at Robert's Grove is well. The resort only sustained
minor damage and we will be fully operational within two weeks time.

Of course, the Peninsula was badly hit, and much work lies ahead.

We'll keep you posted.

All best,

My wife and I were married at Robert's Grove in February and simply fell in love with the area and its people. Our hearts go out to you all and our prayers are with you. We're glad to hear that Risa and Bob and the resort are okay. But we also made some great friends while we were there and we are terribly concerned for them - ie. Shanti and Basillio and others? Are they all okay. If anyone has any news, please advise. Also, if any of our Robert's Grove friends need any assistance please let us know - we would love to help in any way. God bless.

This just came to me from Roberts Grove..thought i'd share....

Dear All,

Just wanted to let you know that I am back at work. I have a temporary office in
Belize City. From now on I will be checking emails. I am scheduled to be back at the
property on Wednesday.

To be honest, Robert's Grove is the only property that did not receive any much
damage. The only lost we have is our pier. According to our contractor, we should
be back to normal by October 20th. We have about 50 people working on the
property. Placencia village is devastated. It is a horrible scene. It might take
months to recover. We have been getting aid from several other Belizeans as well as
our international brothers & sisters..

My families and friends are okay - although some of them lost their homes. We (the
communities that got damaged) need a lot of assistance. Many people lost their
homes and they the human basic needs. I am thinking about organizing a donation
for our fellow brothers. Probably some of you might be able to donate a little
something to all of them. If you saw the destruction on television, it is nothing
compared than to be there to witness it.... So, whatever ideas that you might have
to assist these people will greatly be appreciated.

All booking for November and December are okay. In this time of crisis, I would really
appreciate that you let the clients know that we can happily credit their payment for
future booking rather that to be sending a refund.

Regards,
