I've engaged what I thought was Jungle Lodge ([email protected]) for a 2 night say January 1. They must be an agent because there email came back with there standard package with Transportation, park fee, meals .... Is this the wrong way to book just Jungle Lodge?

I've read there is no phone, so no direct way to book and the agents need to upsell to survive.

Question.
Will I be able to just book direct?
Is Maya Shuttle to only Belize City/Tikal Shuttle?

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I do know that over the holidays, the hotels in the park will usually only sell rooms with meals and I think, guided tours. And book ahead for that time period. Maya Island has two flights daily between flores from Belize Intl. The hotel office in Guatemala City has phone and fax, but not in the park.

Thanks for your input. Email is such a disconnected way to deal with the agents. I emailed the infotikal@ last week with no reply. The agent I was dealing with hasn't replied either.

Yes it seems your stuck with museum, meals and guides on the high season. It seems the Tikal Inn can be booked w/ only the room though.
