I just got back from the Our World Underwater scuba show and saw a new 1000 room resort/ casino/ marina showing at a booth next to the BTB booth. They told me they are going to break ground in a couple of months. Reading their press release the resort is 1/4 of the planned development in that area.
Where are the people coming from to support such a project?

I've spoken to a couple of reputable operators in Placencia in the last few days and they are in despair that it's so quiet there and they have so little business. That's only going to get worse.

it has been over 3 years since those people started making noise.
since then there has not been anything done. not one single tree has been cut, not one ounce of swamp has been filled(and it's aalllll swamp). they did hammer up a tiny, hand made, cheezy little 'keep out' sign.
personaly,, i, along with most, don't think they have whatever it takes to even get started.

thats great as they were talking a good game at the trade show. Maybe it is a big scam
