The dems have always helped Belize and the Repubs, well, Belize still hasn't recovered from Reaganonmics.

This week, Democratic Vice-Presidential Candidate Joe Biden will take centre stage as he debates his Republican opponent Sarah Palin. The event is set for Thursday at Washington University in St. Louis but one person who won't be there to cheer is Joe Biden's brother, Frank. And that's because Frank is in Belize.

That's right, 7NEWS has confirmed that Frank Biden, the younger brother of Joe Biden is doing charity work in Belize. He is what's called the 'Major Gifts Officers' at Hands in Hands Ministry's head office in Louisville Kentucky. In a nutshell he raises funds for the charity and is on a familiarization tour of Belize. He has been here for several weeks and should leave just before the election which is set for Tuesday November 4th.

He has been working primarily in the Belize District where he is seeing first hand the work of Hands in Hands in Belize. The trip was planned before his brother was nominated for Vice President. This is his second trip to Belize. The first was in February when he spent 5 days helping to build a house.

I wonder if someone can get the message to Mr Biden that British TV actor has-been Ross Kemp has made this astoundingly sensationalistic program for SKY TV at Belize's expense which could cause incredible damage to the Belizean tourist industry. Mr Kemp came into Belize for a week or two, with an agenda to find a big crime story. He didn't seem to have one compared to the rest of the world's ills so he exaggerated what he had, just to deliver the goods in time for fall TV ratings and sell more of his books. Oh, and he pays $500 to anyone who will talk to him and give him a story. Maybe someone like Frank who has fairly high profile can do some damage control?

For anyone who doesn't know, Mr Kemp flies around the world, making out like he's going into dangerous territory, infiltrating dangerous gangs so everyone thinks he's really brave and risking his life. The TV audience really laps it up. Meanwhile he skews the facts and is completely irresponsible and leaving a trail of damage behind him. Watch it on here if you haven't seen it already -

Oh yeah, and his wife (editor of the UK's SUN newspaper) was charged for beating him up...

What does Biden have to do with this?

He has PROFILE.. If Biden has any effect on the media, which he likely does, he can talk up Belize and help do some damage control. As stated above. This piece on Belize will hurt tourism which will cause more poverty. Thank you Mr. Kemp.
