For a beautiful and romantic area for an inland honeymoon look into the Mt. Pine Ridge area. Absolutely incredible.

This area will also allow for relaxation as well as spectacular adventure. You should hike the ATM caves from that area if you enjoy being active and adventure, probably one of the most exciting tours in Belize.

Here are a few locations in the Mt. Pine Ridge Reserve highly recommended for a romantic getaway

http://www.blancaneaux.com/ Incredible accommodations (a little pricer) If you stay in the Mt. Pine area at least eat at their fabulous restaurant!!

cdunbar,

Have you chosen an area on the mainland to honeymoon? Mt. Pine Ridge is an outstanding location for honeymooning on the mainland. Beautiful, peaceful, and romantic with plenty to see and do.

Blancaneaux Lodge would be the most upscale in the area. Also nice is Five Sisters Lodge.

Here's the link to the three Coppola resorts. If you wanted to see something other than or in addition to Belize, La Lancha is actually in Guatemala, very close to Tikal with lots to do and the largest of the Mayan ruin sites. The accomodations at all three resorts are spectacular.

Congratulations and best wishes!

Great advise! If you have time heading to Guatemala would be a fun idea as part of your honeymoon. La Lancha is a super idea seeing Tikal would be fun.

Chaa Creek is along the same lines as Blancaneaux - they are both really outstanding places. For a few reasons, Chaa Creek wins in my book.

If you like to golf, go to Caye Chapel, it's a wonderful experience.

For quiet romance, Placencia.

And I ditto all of the previous recommendations.

all of the above are excellent suggestions. Chaa Creek is also exceptional and their rooms are beautiful too.
