In response to acquisition and freight costs, the Government of Belize has approved a decrease of six dollars ($6.00) in the Maximum Retail Price of a Hundred Pound (100 lb) Cylinder of Butane (Domestic) Gas with effect from tomorrow Friday, December 19, 2008.
Accordingly, the new prices to take effect are as follow:

This price decrease is based on average Free on Board (FOB) acquisition cost recently reported by the major importers of domestic butane gas.
The Government of Belize continues to keep the FOB import prices for butane gas under review and will make further changes in the controlled prices as may be appropriate while at the same time protecting the interests of the consumer.
