OP Marty	Senior Counsel Rodwell Williams, law partner and close friend of Prime Minister Dean Barrow, returned to Belize on Sunday after more than three months of intensive care at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida. Williams was critically injured in an execution attempt on the night of June first while he was leaving his firm, Barrow and Williams. The fifty-three year old was shot as he walked towards his vehicle in the nearby parking lot. Williams was airlifted to the United States where he underwent a series of delicate surgeries. Williams has made a surprising comeback and when he arrived at the Philip Goldson International Airport over the weekend he was moving around slowly but is expected to make a full recovery. Since the near fatal shooting, there have been two arrests made. Twenty-seven year old Ricky Valencia and eighteen year old Akeem Thurton have been charged with his attempted murder. Channel 5

OP Marty	Rodwell Williams Is Home On Monday May first, the Prime Minister's law partner Rodwell Williams was shot as he left his office on Albert Street. It was planned as an execution attempt by paid gunmen who fired a single shot to his midsection. He very nearly died and a trauma team had to pump 20 liters of blood into the senior counsel to keep him alive. Those doctors said that 90% of the people who receive such injuries die. Well, luckily Wiliams is in the lucky 10%. After three months of treatment at the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Williams returned home on Sunday. As we understand it - he still has doctor's appointments in Miami but is well enough to travel. He is also well enough to walk. Mr. Williams will be returning to Miami for ongoing treatment�. OP Marty	Men charged with shooting Rodwell Williams are offered bail Rodwell Williams Attorney Rodwell Williams, the law partner of the Prime Minister, was shot on June first as he left his law firm on Albert Street. He was badly wounded and had to be flown to the US for emergency treatment for the life threatening injuries. Williams is now back in Belize and is making a full recovery. Today, the men accused of the crime were brought back to court. Twenty-seven year old Ricky Valencia and eighteen year-old Akeem Thurton both appeared before Chief Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie. The court prosecutor asked for another adjournment but said that he was not objecting to bail since Valencia and Thurton had already served ninety days on remand. Bail was offered under certain conditions including that they are not to be arrested for any other offenses while the matter is still before the court. But until late this afternoon, they had not been able to secure the eight thousand dollar bail and were taken back to the Hattieville Prison. They are to return in December. Channel 5
