The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management hereby notifies the public that Mr. Anthony Mai has been promoted to the post of Chief Environmental Officer of the Department of the Environment.

Mr. Mai has over 15 years' experience working with the department, most recently as the senior environmental officer. Mr. Mai possesses a graduate degree with concentration in sustainable development from Galen University and an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Belize. His combination of experience and academic qualifications is expected to aid in bridging the environment-development nexus in Belize.

The ministry congratulates Mr. Mai on his promotion.
