None stop in San Pedro, they all stop at Belize City. Several cruise lines stop there now I believe. I know Carnival does as I have friends going on a cruise next spring that stops in Belize. Norweigian does too since a co-worker went with them recently. You can probably just look at the various cruise lines webpages to see what their destinations are. Stopping just a few hours though really doesnt give you the flavor of Belize or San Pedro. I don't think I could do a cruise that would stop at Belize now as I wouldn't want to get back on the darn ship!!!

I haven't checked recently, but last time I did (a few months ago), the following cruise lines stopped in Belize City:

Norwegian Cruise Line (three ships called on Belize City); Celebrity (one ship); Holland America (one ship); Carnival (three ships); Royal Caribbean (three ships). Most of these are on seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries. Celebrity's Galaxy was doing a 10-day itinerary.

Just tell them....they never really get to see much of anything but the boat. And if they like that, great. My favorite place is not far from the dock where the "day trippers" come in on smaller boats from Belize City. Sitting at the palapa restaurant there, many of them seem to complain that they have so little time. Needless to say, they can also take inland trips directly from Belize City. Same problem. They only have a few hours to visit. So, if that works, good. But they are not going to see much more than the boat. Suggest that they ask the company they are working with how long they will be in any port, then they will have a better idea if it will work for them or not.

I've heard of some people staying the night in a particular port that they really liked and flying to the next destination to meet the ship..... Expensive, but might solve the problem.....
