Just bought three tickets from Mobile, AL to Belize for $205 each round trip....Flying USAir through Charlotte on 4/21. It is expensive to fly out of Mobile to anywhere. We usually fly out of New Orleans......Couldn't believe it.......We are coming in June, but, couldn't pass it up in April too with those prices......Went through USAirways site and marked "search by price".

I just priced a fare from St. Louis for $218. We just got back from AC on Saturday, but that fare is too good to pass up another trip.

Wow, that is good deal. For what this is worth, I checked air from Cleveland Monday the 14th and us air was like $540 + taxes which came to about $650. Cle to Charlotte and then to bze for the 16th of april returning the 30th. Yesterday I checked again for the same dates and I got tickets for two total including taxes for $1,120.50. I booked it. I asked why so much different and the girl said something I didn't understand so I asked if it goes down some more could I get any help. She said I could apply for a refund. I checked again just a few minutes ago and the same flight to and from are total with tax $1364.00. Recently I read in a travel mag that price changes occur tuesday midnight into wednesday morning and this is best time to shop tickets. At any rate Jeanie and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding at the Banana Beach the last two weeks in April.

Man, I just hate that. I spent $1000 for two tickets from Huntsville, AL to Belize City two weeks ago. And now the airfare is down to $370 a piece on the dates that we want to travel. You just never know what the stupid airlines are gonna do. Oh well, now we just have to wait til the end of April to get here  )

You can usually re issue the tix if the fare drops significantly but the change fee is at least $100 per ticket so it has to drop enough to be worth it. Probably have to do it directly with the airline as most agents don't hassle with it anymore or will charge you an additonal fee (lots of annoying paperwork!) Not sure if you can even do it if you puchase thru a discount website like Orbitz or whoever. And if you purchase thru a consolidator the fee is more ($175 per tix, or so)
There are some decent sales on now so check the airline websites.

Gay - need dates. And my contracted rates really hardly ever beat published airfares any more so best to check the airline websites & discount websites.

In the past, when the rates have gone down after I've booked, I called the airline and they issued a coupon for a credit on a future flight. I Don't remember if it was for the full differance or if they deducted a fee. But, I think that it was for the full amount of the differance. It was good for 1 year.
It might vary by airline too.
It doesn't hurt to call.

RT tickets from Mobile to BZ are still 205.00 for April..........Anyone in the Southeast US who is interested in that time slot...Go for it! Can't beat the price........Me and two other females will be there 4/21----4/26........It is their first time to go to AC and they are so excited...
Hope to meet some of you board members there...Who will be down during that time?
