Given the cost of fuel in general, I'm not sure how cheap these fares will be in the future. If you see a fare for around $500 or so - I'd grab it. I've paid as much as $750 and as little as $425 from Northern California (with the exception of those glorious frequent flyer tickets).

Setting up one of the fare watchers is a good thing - then you can be alerted with fares go down.
