The picture is of Stuart Sutcliffe in Hamburg in 1960 or 61: He left to pursue an art career, and produced some very good work in the short period before he died of a brain hemorrhage.

I was very lucky to have seen the Beatles 3 times in concert, including the time I ran away from home at age 12, and after being Hugged by a screaming "older woman" (15-18?) decided a career in music was for me!

I spent 25 years with many major bands, and Paul was always as nice as he seems to be, a real class act....

FWIW, the 2 other nicer than you can imagine super stars....Phil Collins and Dolly Parton: she really is as nice as she appears on TV, the most down to earth woman you could ever meet
