The Belize National Fire Service is accepting dedicated persons to join the Voluntary element, ages 17 years and up.

Fire Fighting is one of the world's most honored but hazardous occupations. The job is not comfortable or easy; it is a profession that exposes an individual to high level of stress and danger. Fire Fightining requires a high sense of personal dedication, a genuine desire to help people in a high level of skill.

Belize Fire Fighters are involved with all types of people and are scorned by many and appreciated by few (including foreigners). Fire fighters are not extraordinary - they are ordinary people from your community who often find themselves in extraordinary situations. They cannot do everything at once, and they and they public must accept this fact.

Fire Fighters (few) in San Pedro Town have the heart and (etc.) to deal with fire situations and criticisms in your community join them. Help your local Fire Department prevent a disaster. We need ten (10) or more Volunteers; already a foreigner has checked in after July 31st fire. Visit your Fire Station. Remember fire does not recognize color; fire is fast, hot, dark and deadly.
