Nickis- We found the same problem with the water last year @ Banana Beach; we also had a problem with our toilet which was never really resolved. They also advertised a "king-size" bed but what it turned out to be was 2 twin beds pushed together.

The staff was really nice & helpful, but I just expected a little better especially since we had one of the more expensive beach-front rooms; and with all the praise from the people on this forum.

The beach in some ways is better as others have pointed out due to the sandy bottom, but if I remember correctly I think there is a small sea wall at the water's edge, no? In any case it was a better swimming beach than Palms/Ramons.

BB's breakfast can't be beat. Hearty, delicious and generous portions. I usually didn't finish it all so...save some of the fresh fruit and go across the street from BB to the little grocery and pick up a couple of the little meat pies made by local folks. Put them in the fridge while you take your morning snorkel trip. The pies heat up nicely in the micro and you have a great lunch with fruit : )

We just got back from a week at the Xanadu. It was absolutely wonderful. The staff is wonderful, the accommodations perfect and clean, and the location couldn't have been better. Ask for Susan!!

We're spending three days at the Coral Villas which we found reasonable, right on the beach, ocean view, kitchen, etc., very nice looking. We can only stay three day minimum stay then we're hoping to spend our last two days at the Banana Beach.

HI Tag, we're staying at the Coral Bay Villas Nov. 14-16 - they've been very helpful along with excellent follow up. It's right on the beach. They don't want to book longer than a three night minimum. I tried to change it to 5 days yesterday however they want that commitment which I understand due to the upcoming T-giving holiday. We'll hopefully spend the last two days at Banana Beach. In fact I would believe any place you stay here would be excellent. Coral Bay provides bikes and kayaks. Bike which are cruisers with baskets for groceries. Spend three nights here - if you're over 50 & belong to AARP, they do give a discount which we found smashing. My advise is to stay at both places.
Ciao,
