Notice I only used the cell to call around the island. I did not take my company cell phone and only people who were down there had the digicel number. But I still know what you mean. It is pretty bad when feel lost without all your tech gadgets. What can I say I guess I'm a techno geek.

You can also rent cell phones right at the airport when you land - across the parking lot at the BTL office. Most car rental companies have some for rent too.
