Way to many people with much to much time spent on this board.Its fun to browse and make a few comments,but its pretty obvious and very near an obsession with most.Even kind of spooky,since many just vacation here and have not a clue.A simple question,which is answered in a helpful way turns into another hissy catfight.It is sad,as many count on tourists to earn an income here.

i couldn't agree more, seems like some with an agenda to diss, argue, or bust others over some minor issue. why bother posting when you are sure to get flamed.

I so agree, TIMO, and GLass. Certain ones on the board seem compelled to ride herd on others, correcting grammar, spelling, ideas, thoughts. For some, free speech is only free if it agrees with their own ideas. Otherwise, the thread is twisted to be all about them. So sorry Travel was run off. I know how she feels. But, again, we have to be a bit stronger and hang in there until we get what we were after. And, the sense of humor is always needed, whether it's a whipping or a soft stroke. I believe the best intentions are meant, just sometimes fall short of meeting the mark.

glass1, I guess I don't understand how the goofing around here among board members detracts from tourism. Very rarely is a negative comment made about Belize, with the possible exception of someone saying they don't like a particular hotel, restaurant, etc. Additionally, in all the times I've been to AC most of the other tourists I encounter have never even heard of this message board.
Sun&Sand, I guess I don't see that travel was run off, s/he just choose not to post anymore. Seemed to me before making that decision s/he got a good amount of helpful info. I do agree with you that everyone ought to be able to express their ideas and opinions, whether they are agreed with by the majority of other posters or not.

There is a huge difference between "goofing around here among board members" and the mean spirited tongue lashings that occur far too frequently. Once again, an innocent bystander has been caught in the crossfire. I know all too well how it feels. Whether you can see it or not, travel4fun was run off, plain and simple.
A good sense of humor does not negate rude and inappropriate exchanges.

As for "crossfire," correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you, Pam, have engaged in such activity yourself.

It was not about anyone being rude or mean to travel. They were upset people were rude and mean period and the bashing of people and businesses travel was not talking about.

Now thats just downright silly. The party in the first part was upset because the party in the second part was rude to the party in the third part? HUH? :rolleyes: Y'all try to have a good weekend and not think about this. It's too much like working on the weekend.
