There are pictures of it posted on one of the realtor sites....don't remember which one. It looks just wonderful, but it is on a pretty busy street....same one as the bridge.

Ooops, tried to find it for you, but it must not be with the realtor anymore. But, like I said, it looks WONDERFUL. It's before the bridge on the left hand side of the street.

I wonder if it not selling could have anything to do with Oasis del Caribe building a 4 storey condo building almost right across the street?

I doubt it, as they're almost two blocks apart and you probably can't even see Oasis from the front balcony of the house - unless I've got the wrong property in mind. Also remember while it probably is a busy Street - which is not a bad thing for a retail location - it's busy by San Pedro standards.

Not the house I was thinking of then. There is (was?) a house for sale almost directly across from Papi's.

Hi and thank you all for your comments and interest in my home in San Pedro. Several of you have asked about terms so I want to mention more or less what I think makes sense. If you are interested in terms I would be looking for around 25% down and the balance at 10-12% over 10 to 15 years with a balloon payment in 5-10 years. All of that being somewhat negotiable depending on buyer, final purchase price, how fast for closing and possession date etc. For those of you who posted comments I thank you for sharing your thoughts and comments. My house isn't blocked by Oasis del Caribe as I am in a different block. I have had it for sale for a while but I had a contract to purchase that we had to cancel due to lack of adequate financing for the potential buyers, a real nice hard working local couple. I told them I would give them as much time as possible to secure funding because they are nice folks and I wanted to keep my word. That accounts for some of the "Time on Market". If you follow the local real estate market very close as I do, you will notice many of the same properties are and have been for sale for a year or more in many cases. Houses in particular seem to be the slower movers compared to Condo's and vacant land. My home still remains one of the best values on the Caye being A 2 story cement building (see original post for info) with rental income at the asking price of $185,000.00/U.S.. I'm ready for a new project here on Ambergris. I would love to sell to someone who like so many of us has a love for San Pedro, the Belizean people and their way of life and wants to own a piece of Paradise.

Please email me direct @ [email protected].
Thanks to all and I hope you are or will soon be leaving your footprints in the sand...
