I agree. Too few of us don't live in the moment. My husband asked me the other day... "Why are children always so happy?" I thought about it for a while and came up with: They don't have a past to dwell on. They can't get all wrapped up in baggage. They don't have a concept of the future, so they don't get wrapped up in worry and anxiety. They simply live for the here and now.... We should all be like little children... Okay. That's my profound statement for the millenia... I'll shut up now....

My father turned 83 today. I spent most of the day with him. We were trimming some bushes and he mentioned that as he got older it took all day to do some things that only took a short time when he was younger. What I said was " Yeah, but think about much more you enjoy that time while you are doing it". And he smiled. It was a good day.
