While Wine de Vine does have a surprisingly wonderful selection, I echo comments above with respect to Premium Wine and Spirits.
Richard Price, the "Managing Director", made the mechanics of having cases of wine selected from his emailed PDF Wines & Spirits Price List waiting for us in San Pedro effortless.

Happy Trails

Thanks everybody - I can already imagine the taste of the chilled savignon blanc on the balcony at sunset(mixing with the evocative smell of the 50% DEET)!!

Judy - we are both planning to be out together in mid - January to collect the keys from Tom and Josie - sadly only for about a week this time but planning much longer in the summer.

If anyone lives near a Trader Joe's, we'll take a case of "Two Buck Chuck"!

Wine lists at many restaurants have recently evolved as a result of more consciousness about the needs of customers, you may be surprised at the lists of some restaurants and hotels when you visit. I suggest keeping an open mind and tasting different wines while here, as for the most part, US (read: California, Washinton, Oregon) wines are not widely available(except lower end, big production brands) You'll have an oportunity to sample wines from South American growing regions, Australia, many Europeans, Spain and South Africa while you are here, and many are delicious. Ask the manager or waiter if the wines are kept cool, a lot of places don't bother with ideal storage conditions and there are no cellars siting at 68-70 degrees around here. Ports, amontillados and so forth are available too!
I hope this helps,
Chris (Casa Picasso Restuarant)

Casa Picasso celebrated three yearsthis May, thanks to all of you!
