Sometimes in the south of Italy they drop the second "s" but in the poorer sections of Italy they sometimes add a third "s" and an extra "m"

Example:
In the south: "mamma mia, datsa bigga meataballa"

Poor Italy: "mamma mia, datsa bigga meataballa"

And in Texas, Man, did you see the bazooms on that one?

meataballa's in Texas are called Bazooms? So next time when I go to Luigi's I should order Pasta with gravy and a bunch of bazooms on the side?

I think you're right ernie... last year I was enjoying dinner at Luigi's with a very pretty friend of mine. While we were eating, I overheard a guy at the table next to me say to his friend: " wow look at the bazooma's at that table." I kind of laughed to myself and thought... that guys an idiot... we're having pasta faziole
