Depends on the airline. Continental does, AA does not in most instances. Keep the cash handy just in case, then fight with the airline later if they do.

I just hung up the phone with American Airlines and they told me that the departure tax is already paid with there tickets and she assured me that i would not be asked to pay it again when i leave Belize city

Keep the cash in your pocket just in case. I just sent my daughter home 2 weeks ago and it was not included, per the airport staff. AA said it was and is supposed to refund me. When, who knows. Will not do you any good to argue with the airport staff.

Also, in paying depature taxes, it's something like $31.25USD and $7.25BZD. I'm not sure how it is when your from somewhere else i.e. Canada or Europe.
