Speaking of change, it wasn't so long ago that the collective perception (reality) meant the world was flat.

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

Sun&Sand, your position is well stated. I don't know whether we choose to address the wrongs in different ways or not, as we don't know each other at all and I know even less about you than you know about me. Still, I do appreciate your perspective and am especially appreciative that you have demonstrated that it is possible to express and discuss differing viewpoints on this board without resorting to insults and name calling.
Not sure what impression of me you've formed but rest assured, I smile and laugh more than most and my life is a great deal fuller and richer than just my occupation.

Counsellor, I take exception to your statement that Sun&sand can address the issue without resorting to insults. I'm pretty sure the suggestion that I do not take time to smell babyheads or only remember the bad things and a mortician won't be able to wipe the frown off my face, are all insults. I'll have to go along with her that I'm not too crazy about sweet drinks, and I don't often run into puppys (though if I did, I'm reasonably confident that I'd let it lick me, at least I did last time).

Further, I will testify to law's extremely good nature, well-developed sense of humor and willingness to laugh and enjoy life. The richness of her being is only surpassed by my own.

dog, your cheese will be wrapped in tinfoil and carried in a small soft cooler in my carry on, just as it always is. Will you be there for me to deliver it to you? If not, I shall have to eat it myself.

Seashell, nothing was meant to be an insult. Obviously, you wear your heart on your sleeve, and from now on, I will try not to address you as though you can think outside of the box.
No, I don't know much about Law, but I do admire her and her ability to address issues without assuming the worst from others. I also know there is much more to her than her occupation, but, unfortunately I don't know much about her, but I will bow to her other abilities and interests. I can tell by her previous postings that she is fun loving and easily liked. I think she and I could be friends if the situation presented itself.

Please don't let this become an issue that needs to be either defended or added to. Our misunderstandings (mine and Lawcucui's) have been resolved, not needing additional comments from you. However, if you feel you must add to it, feel free to speak your mind. It's a free board, and I welcome your input. My comments concerning the mortician were meant as humor, and if we can't all take it on the chin from time to time, if we can't laugh at ourselves, (God knows I have to laugh at myself a lot) then we are really taking life too seriously. Remember, you aren't getting out of here alive! Lighten up.
