I know fuel prices in the states have gone up by leaps and bounds in the last year or so, I was wondering how they are in Belize these days?

Around 10.00 BZE or 5.00 US

Hi Gela, Yes, we plan on driving back from Placencia on the Hummingbird highway and taking the Coastal highway down. Then we will spend a week on AC. As for the gas prices I was actually expecting it to be higher than this.

Yahoo, We are home in PG!!!! Gas is still the same and the election process is underway. What a time to come back.

GAs prices are terrible...cost $20 US to fill up the golf cart, and it wasn't even empty. I spend only a little bit more than that to fill up my car here in the states.

Oh, what a beautiful drive!
Take your time and observe.

If we don't drive we hire a taxi so we can see something new......every time we take the highway.
Citris groves, pineapple fields...homes, mountains, water/bridges... etc.

It's sad that gas prices just across the border in Mexico are $3.25 per gallon, and just about the same in Guatemala. Gas taxes must be outrageous in Bz.
