The modern equivalent to a mule and cart would be a pickup truck. Thankfully we only have carts and bikes on our beaches today.

When I first started working at Captain Morgan's in 1995 the road ended at the southern end of the resort's property (with a large wooden gate). The beach was the road. It's nice to see things have changed over the years.

Isn't a modern mule a "Kawasaki Mule"? We have some of those on the island.

How is the paving of front street going? I think a lot more people will be willing to use the road when they dont have to see a chiropractor after every two blocks.

It is getting done, slowly. Looks nice. At the rate they are going my guess would be front street will be finished about mid April. I don't think it will have much impact on vehicles on the beach.

Front street and a few side roads are a (Temporary) Friggin mess. From the school to the park, No motor traffic. BUT, It will be as nice as middle street is very soon. Great news for all that must use the roads on a regular bassis and also for us "Part timers". The local children will have a much healther walk to school .

If you want to know what the law is regarding driving on the beach you need to seek the advice of an attorney.

Our company went to great expense to clearly understand the laws of beach ownership, Queen's beach, beach easements etc. Even with a full report from our attorneys we feel in some areas we would need to have the attorney further clarify the law.

It is a lot more complicated than saying there is the Queen's way. It isn't clear cut and dried.

But it is always fun to watch the board members express their interpretation of the law.

So to make a long story short, No one here seems to know what the law is regarding beach ownership / dock ownership or driving on the beach. Not even Real Estate Professionals who sell property on Ambergris Caye. You need to seek the advice of an attorney who might or might not be able to clarify it......NICE .....Welcome to Belize.

Just make your assumptions and see what happens.
