Hey, what's with the weather and the tropical storm? Hear it's named "Alberto" and sending a message to all East Coast US Residents to leave and head for Belize!
Are you guys getting wet or what?

We could just be cooking a homegrown down here, folks, instead of waiting
for Alberto. No threat to Belize if we are, but if it gets in the Gulf of
Mexico it could get frisky.

or your favorite equivalent. Now take note the wind is from the
north here on Ambergris Caye, (off the northeast coast of Belize, for any
who don't remember), whereas the usual trades are from the east. This
time of year that often connotes something going on. This particular
time it could signify some circulation trying to get started around that
glob south of Cuba.

If it were to form, it would tend to head northward, more or less thorugh
the
Yucatan Chute between Cuba and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and dance
around the Gulf before striking somebody who neglected to come to Belize
and bring money.

Just so you know.

I hope to be in AC the first couple of weeks in September. Historically, what is the weather like? Hurricanes???? I also keep hearing about the terrible mosquito problem in September. I think the folks over at Belize First even denote September as Mosquito season. Please advise.....
Thanks

I remember those pesky mosquitos as a kid gowing up. As I recall they really liked me, hopefully when we arrive ...they will find I'm a little tougher bite on now.LOL Every place that his any kind of water standing where they can lay their eggs, they will be. Even the the hottest weather in August and September in the desert, they come with the monsoons. Just make sure you have some Deet and where the wind blows..you'll be fine.
