&nbsp sweetjane,
an even better idea than ziploc bags would be bottle shippers like these. They're available at Beverages & More and other wine shops.

That's a good deal. The boxes that Continental sells is $20. Of course, it is a bit of a captive audience they have. Once a tourist returning home has bought their booze at Belize duty free, they don't want to have it taken away from them in Houston. So, if they are like me, they fork over the $20 for the box. Now, I have one and will take it with me on my next trip.

Don, do these items fit all bottles, ie: Vodka, rum, etc. or are they specially designed for certain wine bottles?

For anyone that plans to get some of these so they can bring back duty free from BZ, don't forget to pack them in your carryon for the return trip. If you'll recall, you check your luggage before you go into security and then the Duty Free at BZ City airport. Therefore, if you have your transport box with you, then you can place your duty free item in it at that time. You will still have to take it to the special counter at Continental. They will check it through for you. The item should receive special handling. I can only relate that when I got to my homne city, my boxed bottle came out of the special items area rathter than the luggage carousel.

&nbsp Hey Otter,
it's still 100 miles away, but One Barrel is getting closer to you. There's a store on the West Virginia border that stocks the rum now.

Thanks Dan -- may be worth a side-trip. The family goes whitewater rafting each summer near Fayetteville. Huntington is a little out of the way, but I need my fix!

I definitely hear banjo music Otter, and the only one barrel I saw in WV was being held by a guy in a coon skin cap.
