Here are pictures of the dump along the road just north of the bridge and where the last Reef Village building is going up. This trash was dumped here about a month ago and Reef Village said they were going to cover it. So far they have not and today is the first day that the fine should go into effect.
As you can see from one of the photos the dredger is working about 100 yards beyond the pile of trash and not in anyway covering it.
The red areas around the edge and in other parts of the lagoon are pieces of the Red Mangrove that floats to the surface after it is dredged up.
These pictures are taken from my 2nd floor veranda and his is one of the first views of the north side. I hope something is done about this – soon.
