I saw a few of these and can't figure out what the heck they are. Any suggestions?

Pic was taken under the pier at Caye Chapel. There were 2 of them in different spots a couple of days apart. I can't match them up with any frogfish, toadfish, scorpionfish or stone fish pics. Ugly porkers with an un-typical pointy snout for those fish.

A Shortnose Batfish, to be exact. I looked it up in a fish ID book, and your picture looks exactly like the Shortnose Batfish.

"Shortnose Batfish"... sounds like something you'd call your mother-in-law!
