As election day is approaching, everyone is talking about voting for an elected senate.But no one has gone into detail as to what the elected senate will or not be able to do.Or how it will be structured, and the most difficult question is what would be done to avoid having the same same party dominating in the senate as in the house.especially if the goal is to have a representaition that is balanced, and one that would speak to the interest of the community.

Went last night past the PUP and ate at Central Park where the UDP was located. PUP wasn't actually at the high school when I went by, but then I saw them marching. UDP looked pretty sedate by comparison (this was around 8), but I was told that things really got hopping there later that night--though I don't know, because I left by 8:30.

What a place, where else can you be tempted for your vote for $2 Beer!.....at the High School to boot....Gotta Love it!

I foresee the senate votes not even being counted.

4,049 voters turned out in San Pedro which is a part of the Belize Rural South constituency. The number which showed up at the polls today represents 74% of voters in that division.

Caye Caulker- 521 voters 80.53%
San Pedro- 3528 voters 73.15%

Division Total 4049 74.02%

According to Love fm , the count so far is UDP 19 and PUP 4.

Now 26 UDP, 6 PUP
