Hi, we have stayed at The Tides four times since 2005, and will be there from 04/19-04/27. We now consider Sabrina, Patojo, Butch and all our family. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is wonderful, the diving is great, and the price is right. We would not stay anywhere else. Our nephew and soon-to-be niece are getting married on The Tides' beach on April 21.

We've stayed at Casa Caracol twice, and have it booked again for two weeks in March, 2009. Yes, there is a road between the house and beach. We did not have any problems with it though, and the beach right on the other side of the road. A ten minute stroll gets you into town. We could use the Tides pool and could snorkel at the end of the dock. Bartender Butch makes a fabulous rum punch.

We sort of felt the road was a bonus. Convenient for beer wagon delivery, and easy to catch the tamale guy and cookie lady. It was kinda like a reverse drive up window.

I highly recommend Casa Caracol. Phil will take good care of you.

My wife and I have stayed at Casa Carcol twice ('05,'07). If you have a decent size party it is a great and economical place to stay. Close enough to everything to be able to walk to it...yet still quiet. Phil takes excellent care of the house and his guests.

I always thought that the owners of Cas Caracol lived on site. Is that wrong?

ha ha. 1) Is it correct that I am wrong about the owners living on site. Or 2) is it correct that the owners live on site?

It's good to have friends to correct you when you are wrong about being correct.
