Interesting, there is a six month moratorium on bringing in any new vehicles (larger than a golf cart) to the island, yet this would open the road up to a constant flow of autos and trucks from Mexico. Does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing?

or started? if ever, it would be millions of $s, who would finance? A 3 to 5 mile causeway would need to be constructed.

Yep champion, you can say I'm pessimistic and i don't mind,I've just heard about Mexico and the projects at the head of the island so long I'm immune.
The Town board can't fix a pot hole in the road and surely isn't going to build 15 miles of road through that terrain for tourist traffic from Mexico. A laughable Idea. There is zero on the Mexican side of the boarder also.
Heredia signing a letter of intent is only good to bait some developers into a little mordeda.

So the letter of intent is nothing more than a Marvel Comic Book.

A road would be fine but I'm still hoping for the monorail system

That road is gonna be too long for my good ol' electric golf cart.

Could be a new technology by then so i wouldn't worry.

Light rail is in our future. It will connect South Beach and Xcalak with stops at the Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott, and Fountainebleu-San Pedro. Darn, and our condo isn't even finished...
