I just wanted to thank the very special message board member who bought and delivered strings this week. She deserves a huge round of applause for ensuring that San Pedro's own child prodigy will be able to continue to entertain us all. You know who you are. THANK YOU!

Colette, nice to meet you and some of your family who were visiting this last week. I just returned a few hours ago after a fantastic 10 day vacation. Drummer Dan asked if I wanted to see Derek practice with the San Pedro High School Band on Friday, which was also my birthday. They played "Beat It" by Michael Jackson and another song, plus a quick birthday rip. I have to say that it made my day and then some.

Go Derek! He is awesome, I was blown away, and very happy to assist a young man with such talent. I wish him great success in his future and hope that the Austin music school works out for him!
